Welcome to the new website of Troop 423

The site is still currently under contruction and testing...thank you for your patience.

Troop 423 was first chartered in 1955, and has continued to serve the Old Bethpage and Plainview area for 50 years.

We are a non-denominational troop whose members represent the wide diversity of our community and we encourage our scouts to learn from and respect that diversity.

We meet every Thursday night from 7:30 until 9:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church's Gymnasium located on Central Park road in Plainview, NY. Good Shepherd is our sponsoring organization, providing us with a wonderful meeting place, and storage facilities for our equipment.

Feel free to check out our upcoming events on the Troop Calendar.

Scouting Tip of the Week

Bring extra WATER. It’s easy to get dehydrated in the winter. You aren’t visibly sweating, so you don’t think to drink water, but since the air is so dry, you lose a LOT of water through breathing. Drink lots of water!
